Cristiana M. Nascimento-Carvalho
Possui graduação em Medicina pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA) (1987), concluiu Residência Médica em Pediatria com Especialização em Infectologia Pediátrica (1991), na Escola Paulista de Medicina (EPM-UNIFESP), Mestrado em Assistência Materno-Infantil (1994), Doutorado em Medicina (2001) na UFBA e Livre-Docência em Infectologia Pediátrica (2007) na EPM-UNIFESP. Em 1991 ingressou no Departamento de Pediatria como professor efetivo por concurso. Atualmente é professor associado nível 2 da Universidade Federal da Bahia. Tem experiência na área de Medicina, com ênfase em Infectologia Pediátrica. São linhas de pesquisa Infecção Respiratória, Infecção Pneumocócica, Infecção do Sistema Nervoso Central. É líder do Grupo de Pesquisa em Infectologia Pediátrica (CNPq) e trabalha em cooperação com o LACEN-BA, Centro de Pesquisa Gonçalo Moniz (FIOCRUZ-BA), Instituto Adolfo Lutz-SP, Faculdade de Saúde Pública (USP), National Institute for Health and Welfare e Turku University Hospital (Finlândia), Paris Descartes University, Paris (França), Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Nationwide Children´s Hospital and the Ohio State University College of Medicine, Columbus, OH, EUA, e Organização Panamericana de Saúde (Washington, D.C., EUA). É membro da Sociedade Européia de Infectologia Pediátrica (ESPID), onde passou a integrar o quadro de tutores em outubro/2006. Em setembro/2006 passou a integrar o quadro de bolsistas em Produtividade de Pesquisa do CNPq. Atualmente é consultora do Ministério da Saúde no Brasil e do Sabin Vaccine Institute em Washington, DC, nos EUA. Bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa do CNPq - Nível 1C.
