Atualmente é pesquisadora titular da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz e Professora Adjunta da Universidade Federal da Bahia. Tem experiência na área de Parasitologia, com ênfase em Protozoologia Parasitária Humana, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: leishmaniose, leishmania e imunologia aplicada.
