Manoel Barral-Netto
Médico, Faculdade de Medicina da Bahia-UFBA, 1976; Doutorado em Patologia Humana em 1988) é membro titular da Academia Brasileira de Ciências e Comendador da Ordem Nacional do Mérito Científico. Atualmente é pesquisador titular da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ-Bahia) e Professor Titular da Faculdade de Medicina da Bahia (Universidade Federal da Bahia). Atua na área de Imunoparasitologia. Os temas mais freqüentes da sua produção científica são: leishmanioses, imunorregulação e vacina. Foi Pró-Reitor de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação da UFBA e Diretor da Faculdade de Medicina da Bahia (UFBA). Foi Diretor de Programas Temáticos e Setoriais do CNPq, membro da Comissão de Assessoramento Técnico Científico (CATC) do CNPq e da Comissão Lattes do CNPq além de membro do Comitê Gestor do Fundo Setorial de Saúde (MCT). Diretor de Cooperação Institucional do CNPq até abril/2013. Pesquisador 1A do CNPq.
