Paulo N. Rocha
Formado em medicina pela Faculdade de Medicina da Bahia (FMB) da Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA) (1995), com residência médica em Medicina Interna no Medical College of Pennsylvania (1996 - 1999), onde foi residente chefe (1999 - 2000), e residência em Nefrologia na Duke University (2000 - 2003). Tem título de especialista em Clínica Médica e Nefrologia pelo American Board of Internal Medicine e em Nefrologia pela Sociedade Brasileira de Nefrologia. Concluiu o Doutorado em medicina, área de concentração em imunologia, em 2005. Desde 2006, exerce a função de Professor Adjunto do Departamento de Medicina e Apoio Diagnóstico da FMB-UFBA. Desde 2009, coordena a disciplina de Bioestatística da Pós-graduação em Ciências da Saúde (PPgCS) da UFBA. Em 2011, passou a integrar o Comitê de Ética Médica e a exercer a função de Supervisor do Programa de Residência Médica de Clínica Médica do Hospital Universitário Professor Edgard Santos. É co-editor do Jornal Brasileiro de Nefrologia. Principais áreas de interesse: imunologia dos transplantes, insuficiência renal aguda, equilíbrio ácido-base e hidroeletrolítico, glomerulopatias e epidemiologia da doença renal crônica. Pós-doutorado em curso em Clinical Epidemiology and Health Services Research na Cornell University/ESTADOS UNIDOS, iniciado em junho/2012 e com término em junho/2014.
