She holds a Degree in Biomedicine from the Escola Paulista de Medicina (UNIFESP). She did her Master's and Doctorate of Immunology at USP, and holds a post-doctorate from CSU-Fort Coliins, Colorado, USA. She is currently a titular researcher at Gonçalo Moniz Research Center-FIOCRUZ – Bahia, and Assistant Professor at UFBA. She has experience in the field of Immunology, with an emphasis on Immunoparasitology, working mainly on the following subjects: vaccines against Leishmaniasis and Immunoregulation in human and experimental Leishmaniasis.
